AgentDSM-Eval: A framework for the evaluation of domain-specific modeling languages for multi-agent systems

چکیده
Software development required for constructing multi-agent systems (MAS) usually becomes challenging and time-consuming due to the properties of autonomy, distributedness, openness these in addition complicated nature internal agent behaviors interactions. To facilitate MAS development, researchers propose various domain-specific modeling languages (DSMLs) by enriching metamodels with a defined syntax semantics. Although descriptions are given related studies examples their use, unfortunately, many not evaluated terms either usability (being hard learn, understand use) or quality generated artifacts. Hence, this paper, we introduce an evaluation framework, called AgentDSM-Eval, its supporting tool which can be used evaluate DSMLs systematically according quantitative qualitative aspects software development. The empirical evaluation, presented AgentDSM-Eval was successfully applied one well-known DSMLs. assessment showed that both domain coverage developers’ adoption elements determined framework. Moreover, tool's results assess DSML's performance on time throughput. also enables DSML features novel characteristics measures, it defines specifically domain.

A Framework for Creating Domain-specific Process Modeling Languages
Using domain-specific modeling languages to capture business processes can greatly enhance quality and efficiency of process modeling, because language and models are more expressive, concise and easy to understand. The development of domain-specific languages (DSLs) with accompanying tools and transformations is, however, a complex, time-consuming, and costly task. An efficient and simple appr...
متن کاملA Multi-dimensional Framework for Characterizing Domain Specific Languages
The paper presents a questionnaire to assess Domain Specific Languages based on a multi-dimensional framework for characterizing languages. An issue is whether and how to distinguish between characteristics of domain-specific and general purpose languages. We discuss how to emphasize dimensions that are particularly important for domain-specific languages such as being formal, yet transparent a...

The objective of the current paper is to present an intelligent system for complex process monitoring, based on artificial intelligence technologies. This system aims to realize with success all the complex process monitoring tasks that are: detection, diagnosis, identification and reconfiguration. For this purpose, the development of a multi-agent system that combines multiple intelligences su...

In this paper we analyze existing methods and languages for modeling agent interactions and propose a SDLMAS Framework for rapid design, development and runtime support of multi-agent systems. The framework provides a simple but expressive declarative language for modeling complex interactions among agents. Proposed language is based on scenarios, sequences of conversation actions directed towa...
